I believe it is the best portrait lens for the Canon Rebel T7.

This lens is also known as the “nifty fifty” due to its affordable price while providing versatility in many photography situations.

The Canon EF 24-70mm f4L IS USM is a premium zoom lens that I have used with the Canon Rebel T7.

It’s versatile and durable, and the image quality is exceptional.

This lens is a part of Canon’s prestigious L-series lineup, which is known for its professional-grade optics and robust construction.

As mentioned, because this lens is a zoom lens, you have different focal length ranges you can play with.

This means this lens is great for:

• Landscape photography
• Travel photography
• Event photography
• Wedding photography
• Street photography
• Videos

This lens can also work for portrait work at its telephoto end of (70mm) but I’d recommend getting a prime lens if you mostly do portraits.

You can also use this lens for macro photography because it has a macro mode at the 70mm end, but I recommend getting a dedicated macro lens like the one I’ll discuss after this one (the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L).

The EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM offers a versatile zoom range that will allow you to capture great photos covering wide-angle to short telephoto focal lengths.

On a full-frame camera, this lens has a focal length of 24-70mm, but on a crop sensor camera like the Canon Rebel T7, the focal length of this lens will behave like a 38-112mm lens.

So that’s important to remember.

Check out this comparison of using the 40mm lens on a crop sensor camera like the Canon Rebel T7, where it acts like a 64mm lens, against using it on a full-frame camera where it stays true to its 40mm size.

But this focal length, if you use it on the Canon Rebel T7, will be excellent for everyday photography situations.

This lens has great image quality.
